VISIT THE TRADITIONNAL VILLAGE OF BENA

Bena village is one of the megalithic villages located in Ngada, Flores. Located at 9km from Wolokoro Village at the foot of Inerie volcano. You will be able to visit an indonesian traditional village, and learn how the houses are built, how the people live and their traditions. You can also visit Bena villagers gardens, they have coffee, clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg fields. Do not miss it!

TREK THE INERIE VOLCANO
Inerie Village, Flores (near Bena)
During the trekking that leads to Inerie volcano you will walk through tall grass, huge eucalyptus fields, and a magnificent pine forest. When you reach the top of the volcano, while the sun is raising, you will appreciate the amazing views of Savi sea and the island of Sumba. A spectacular view for the eyes!

TREK VAE BUAH
Wolokoro, Flores
Trek around the Wolokoro village and enjoy the view on the moutains and the ocean. You will pass trough a bamboo forest, hike a hill to see the spectacular view of the valley and his waterfalls, stop at the view point "ocean view", spend some time in the Var Buah river for a swim and climb back the moutains to come back to your homestay. A perfect way to start your day!
Experience with locals
If you are a curious tourist and you want to have a unique experience and learn more about people in Flores Island, we offer two local experiences:
1- Learn about the coffee process : experience you will get directly enroll on the process of the coffee making. You will learn how the coffee is harvested, you will be able to produce your own coffee by the hand of a local family of the village.

2- Come and drink tea or coffee with a local family : You will be able to spend some hours in an indonesian home, the family will let you visit the different parts of the house, and invite you for tea or coffee. You will be able to ask them different questions about their customs and culture.

Hot spring Malanag
After a long morning visiting traditional villages, or having finished a trek, have lunch and relax at the hot springs of Malang, natural hot water, heated by subterranean volcanic activity. The best thing is that there is also a very cold river meeting the hot springs. You can then pass from the hot water to the cold one. The best way to finish your day!
Market of Bajawa
If you plan to spend the day in the city of Bajawa, do not forget to visit and experience the Market of Bajawa. You will find different varieties of indonesian delicious fruits, vegetables, and other kind of products. Remember to take small notes, and a basket to fill up!
